My Trip to Syria 01
Friday, July 10

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم
[in the name of God, the most Gracious, the most Merciful]

finally
..im in syria. yup.
well ive been here for 3 days.
and i just love it.

it has seriously changed,
and definitely for the better.

and yes, im on the internet.
but mind you,
in an internet cafe up the road from my place haha

my grandpa's internet is way too slow.
took like half an hour to load the twitter page.

well the flight was ok i guess, it kinda sucked
we arrived 3am in the morning
we got to the airport and ended up waiting for half an hour for my visa
and ended up paying $100 for each person for it
i was like, WTH. racist. caus im australian isnt it.

haha but the freaky thing was, the people working there were wearing those masks =S
one of them said swiney had JUST hit the airport.
i was like -.- oh great. thats just great.
why didnt you tell me earlier aye?

its ok people, its been 3 days and i feel normal. i guess.
anywayyy, we got out and met family =)
as we were walking to the car i was full on looking around thinking,
holy crap, holy crap, im in syria, i am actually in syria, omggg
yes. i know. obsessive.

we got into the car and on the way home i couldnt stop looking around.
i couldnt beleive i was finally in syria.
i was so frkn happy.
it was 3am, and the streets were still busy.
family's were out in parks,
people were walking around,
it was alive.

we stayed up till dawn,
then the next day we woke up late and hung around and stuff
then at night me and my cousins and family went out to the city
and had sooo much frkn fun
it was soo busy, and i was really suprised!
it looks so different and has changed a lot.
the cars are way better,
the people have better fashion taste :P
and there are heaps of foreigners visiting the country!
which is ausome, i rkn.
there are new cafeteria's, and more restaurants,
theres even a new KFC!
[but mind you, it sucks. haha, its so damn expensive, and the food tastes like crap.]

it really has changed!
but there are still some things that havn't changed,
and that i dont want to change,
and that will hopefully never change.
like how alive the night is,
how alive my ausome suburb is,
how i wake up to the sound of sellers outside on carts pulled by horses/donkies,
"Ghaz Ghaz Ghaz!!" Gas, Gas, Gas. [for the kitchen haha]
then theres the vegetable seller, with a unique tune, with a full on Bab Al Hara accent in the end, "Meet Lerraaa." 100 Syrian Pounds. which is like around $2.

gosh i love syria. and i cant wait till my burddy comes inshallah,
so we can have our adventures in this ancient city
i cant wait to show her around my hara~ hood. LOL
and walk around suk alhamideyah, sha3lan, bab touma, qasyoon.. gosh many more!
God Willing.

The next day i went out to suk al hamideyah, AND OMG IT WAS SO FRKN FUN.
it has changed so much. and like, i just loved it. and i took so many photos and videos =) and yea, something very very funny happened :P which i shall explain later in full detail inshallah.

anyway i have to go now,
caus im in an internet cafe,
and like, the people here are scaring me.
ok not. lol. but yea, times up, and stupid gay fb isnt working.
and stupid blogger isnt. i can only create a post, but cannot see my own frkn page.

ANYWAY. take care everyone, and shall write more later :)
salam.
